23/03/10 – We are proud to announce that our CEO Dr. rer. nat. Detlef K.-H. Finkler is now Industry Representative of the Pathological Society of Great Britain and Ireland. The society is the largest association of pathologists in the UK and Ireland, dedicated to advancing pathology education, research, and practice. As the Industry Representative, Dr. Finkler will provide the industry’s perspective on the further development of pathology, with a particular focus on Educational Platforms. We are honored that Dr. Finkler has been chosen for this role, and we look forward to contributing to the society’s important work in advancing pathology.
23/02/03 – In health institutions, research facilities and companies, data sets exist that could be of great benefit to society and could well be published as Open Data for this purpose. However, they are often withheld from the general public due to data protection, security and personal rights; no social added value can be generated from them. The EAsyAnon research project has set itself the goal of developing a solution to this problem – with the support of Smart In Media.
22/10/12 – With the Medical Device Regulation (MDR – 2017/745) and the In Vitro Diagnostic Medical Device Regulation (IVDR – 2017/746) coming into effect, the European Commission is improving safety and effectiveness. Accordingly, our PathoZoom® Scan & liveView and PathoZoom® Digital Lab solutions comply with their Measurement Tool the requirements of the IVDR and are now officially marked with a CE label.
22/10/10 – The international market for Digital Pathology is growing, and so are we. Another chapter in our company history starts now: Smart In Media Iberia S.L.U.! We signed all necessary documents at the lawyer’s and notary’s office in Spain today. The founding team includes Dr. Detlef Finkler (CEO Smart In Media AG), Jens Mallow and Tobias Pinzler (General Manager Smart In Media Iberia S.L.U.)
